Procrastination—Eh, I’ll get to it later

Okay, procrastination.

I’m doing it right now, I’ve got an 8-page magazine on some movement that reshaped America due tomorrow, I haven’t even picked out what its about. I’m in trouble. Now, I am procrastinating even more by writing this and having my cousins over. Anyways, you may start procrastinating when you decide that:

  • You need to check up on something real quick.
  • Oh, I need to write an article on procrastination.
  • My cousins are being annoying and I have to watch.
  • I need to feed my dog.
  • And the list goes on…

Now your wondering, how do I stop procrastinating. Well, do bits of your work at a time, for example, work for 15 minutes, take a 2-5 minute break, or something like that. I did that once, and I finished in about 2 hours. What else, well, maybe get a friend and do the work together. Now, this may bore them if it’s something they don’t have to do, but it’s worth a shot.
Okay, that’s my semi-informative take on procrastination. Now,

Hehe, now its Christmas Break ‘09 and I’m procrastinating too. Though, maybe it should be changed to: work 15 minutes, take a 6 hour to 1 day break, do another 15 minutes…

It is a matter of getting accustomed to persist in your projects; you should turn persistence into a habit.
