Holidays, Reviews and Eye Glasses — oh my!

Sorry for the lack of posting, I’ve been busy with… vacation.  Anyways, I hope everyone had a great Holiday season and a great 2008!

I’ll try to post some good content but today I must go to the eye doctor, because my glasses are broken and they were a bit too small anyways.

Also, for Christmas I received $200 for NewEgg.com!  This means that I’ll hopefully put some reviews up.  I did in fact get that webcam I won, but I don’t believe it’s worth putting up a review.  For those that are curious, it was a Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks.  As for that $200, I plan on buying a new monitor, as I have quickly ran out of space that my 21.6″ 1680×1050 Hanns-G can provide.  I’m am looking to buy an Asus, particularly the VH222H.  It is 21.5″ (that’s right, a whole tenth of an inch smaller than my current monitor! ) and has a resolution of 1920×1080, coming in at a price of $199.99 and free shipping.

I’ve also upgraded 135 packages on the server, including Apache, PHP, and MySQL, so this website should not be served to you via outdated software any more.  I also ran an antivirus scan, because there have been some issues with the internet connection to the server just shutting down, locking everything out.  Other than that, I might upgrade the RAM in the server because it has done well working with only 128MB.
