I Won A Webcam!

The following video is not mine, it was recorded by Chris Pirillo. However, all content written following the video is mine.

Let me tell you, I think last night was probably the most random night ever. It was 1 in the morning when I was going to go to bed, and I decided to check out Chris Pirillo’s Blog. His live stream started to play and what do you know, he had just started his webcam giveaway video! I sit there for about 10 minutes, watching person after person get picked only to result in them not meeting the requirements. All the while, I was commenting on a post Chris made, and decided to log in to their IRC channel. The names are drawn randomly from the users in their IRC channel, if you weren’t aware.
So, after I login, they draw 1 or 2 more names, both of which were either idle for hours or didn’t meet requirements. Then, my name is displayed. I give them my Youtube profile name, my geeks.pirillo.com profile and tell them which blog post I commented on. A few seconds later, we were all wooting it up, and Chris was relieved he wouldn’t have to resort to doing laundry while they found an eligible member.

I’ve already sent my mailing address to Chris, who passed it on to Ustream.tv” href=”http://www.ustream.tv”>Ustream.tv.

And of course, I’ll be making an unboxing video, or at least a post about the new webcam.
