Acid 3 Test Results

If you are the kind of person who just has to have the browser that renders the best. Check out the Acid 3 test results over at Anomalous Anomaly. (On a side note, I think I’m getting use to writing that.) Anyways, it looks like Safari 3.1 ranks best right now with a score of 75%.

By the way, if you didn’t know, there is in fact a Windows build of Safari. Get Safari for Windows.

So, I downloaded Safari 3.1, after using Firefox for awhile. And I forgot how much I liked the interface and how Safari renders text and buttons and scroll bars. Oh yeah, and it’s fast too. Now ChaosR hates me now for not using Firefox, as it is open source while Safari is not. But if Safari was open-source he probably wouldn’t mind. At least that’s the impression I got.

Now see, if I had Mac OS X 10.5 I’d gladly download the nightly build of Safari and enjoy the perfectly rendered Acid 3 Test, but alas. Mac OS is closed source, and I really don’t have the money to afford it. And yes, I know there are illegal ways of getting ahold of the operating system, but I’m trying to keep it clean here. ;)

Oh yeah, one last humorous bit, IE 5.5 beat IE 7, teehee.

But yeah, here’s the link:
